Gen Con 2002 Events!

This page will detail all of the ShockForce and WarEngine events that will be run this year by myself and my former ShockForce demo partners at Gen Con 2002 this August.

Stay tuned for more updates as the events are registered with Gen Con Event registration. First we will start with my events.

ShockForce Events

DemonBall: Blood sport of Future America

Runs:Thursday 12pm -1:45pm and 2pm - 3:45PM - Saturday 5pm - 6:45pm - GM:Dances

The blood sport of the shattered remains of America. Six man teams fight/kill for the right to score a goal in this lethal blood sport. ShockForce rules variant. Six man teams with a point value of 500 with an Elite as a leader. Teams try to grab the DemonBall from the center of the maze and run it through a goal to win the match. Points are awarded for each Possession of the DemonBall to decide winner if no goal is scored. Substitution rules will be in effect. Bring your own team or use one of mine. Mega Battle: The battle for Milwaukee

Runs:Friday 7pm -10:45pm - GM:Dances

Milwaukee has previously been a haven for the mutants, but now the Megacomms what something. The other factions have caught wind of this, so they think that if something is so important for the Megacomms to risk an attack, than they want to see whats up and get a piece of the action. 3000 point 2nd edition SF factions (2000 force & up to 1000 renown). Bring your own force or use one of mine.

Find Wesley!

Runs:Thursday 7pm -10:45pm - GM:Dances

Marcus Wesley has the secret of the fountain of youth and now everyone wants it, including you. Lead your faction to secure Wesley and his research before those other greedy groups can. Eternal life depends on your success. Marcus Wesley, a young scientist has discovered a new approach to rebuilding aging cells and restore a persons youth. The Fountain of Youth! Of course everyone wants Marcus and his formula, but first you must kidnap him. Marcus has been located, you must scamble your faction to reach him first before the others do, then you can secure your own Eternal Life! 1500 point 2nd edition SF factions (1000 force & up to 500 renown). Bring your own force or use one of mine.

Free Wesley!

Runs:Friday 10am -1:45pm - GM:Dances

Marcus Wesley has been captured and is being transported to the capturing faction's (from the previous above event) headquarters. It's up to you to get him or kill him, if you can't have him, no one can! One of the factions from the previous above event has managed to secure Marcus Wesley. They are currently transporting him to their urban headquarters. Ambush the convoy with your faction and secure Wesley for yourself or kill him so no one can have the secret of the fountain of youth formula he has developed. 1500 point 2nd edition SF factions (1000 force & up to 500 renown). Bring your own force or use one of mine.

Historical WarEngine Events

A Village too Quiet

Runs:Saturday 10am -1:45pm - GM:Dances

Operation Cobra: Support the right flank, and sweep through the small French village, that was 2nd Platoon's orders. Intel says the village shows no signs of the enemy. A piece of cake right? This is a 28mm World War II skirmish based on a variation of the WarEngine rules from ShockForce. The U.S. 2nd infantry platoon with one anti-tank team and one .30 Cal. machine gun team must sweep through this small French village. However, there is a German rifle platoon with 2 machine gun teams and 1 halftrack that aims to stop the U.S. troops. Figures will be provided. Easy to learn rules will be taught as play begins. Come and run a rifle squad and support the allied push through France.

ShockForce Events

Kill thy Enemny

Runs:Friday 2pm - 6:45pm GM:Dan

The peaceful serinity of the lovely woods and plains is shattered by the sounds of laser fire and chainswords. Mayhem rocks the rolling hills. Kill your enemy!! Win valuable prizes!! 1500 point 2nd edition SF factions (1000 force & up to 500 renown). Bring your own force or use one of mine.

Fantasy WarEngine Events

The Last Orc

Runs:Saturday 12pm -3:45pm - GM:Dan

The Firstborns are holding the last known surviving orc in their castle. The Undead want him. The Elves want him. Can the humans hold out long enough for the Brentonian allies to arrive. BTW, who invited the space marines? Figures will be provided.

WarEngine Dungeon Crawl

Runs:Saturday 7pm -10:45pm - GM:Dan

Two teams run heroes and henchmen thru a double blind dungeon to reach the Undercity to capture the Eye of the City artifact. What they find there and along the way is half the fun. Figures will be provided.
